Critical Infrastructure Telecommunications

Cell Tower Security Cameras and Remote Monitoring

Secure the infrastructure that keeps regions connected. Protect unmanned communication sites with surveillance planned around the compound, its vulnerabilities, and the assets that matter most.

Mission Physical site security
Environment Remote + unmanned
Deployment Layered + adaptable
Critical communications Copper theft Battery theft Generator + fuel security Remote unmanned sites Perimeter breach Service disruption Earlier detection

The problem is bigger than stolen material

An attack on communications infrastructure becomes an outage for everyone downstream.

Copper, batteries, generators, fuel, fiber routes, and backup power are being targeted at scale. At remote sites, distance and limited physical security can make detection and recovery slower.

Why SentryPODS

Mission planning—not another box of cameras.

Our Marine Corps and military background shapes the way we work. We study the site, define what must be observed, choose the right capability, and position each unit with a clear purpose.

Understand Position Integrate Train
See the difference

Fast to install. Deliberate in purpose.

A rapid install does not mean a rushed plan. The hardware can be mounted in minutes; the deployment strategy determines why it belongs there and how it supports the rest of the site.

Every team should understand why each unit is positioned where it is, what it observes, how the units work together, and how the deployment supports the facility.

Operational view Fortress dashboard displaying live surveillance feeds, unit locations, events, and system controls

Fortress dashboard

One operational view across the surveillance environment.

Where configured, Fortress can centralize live video, recorded events, alerts, unit locations, fleet view, and equipment-health information—helping teams manage distributed sites without treating every feed as an island.

  • View live and recorded video
  • Receive automated alerts
  • See unit locations and fleet status
  • Review system health and supported power status

Customer dashboard access, automated alerts, equipment-health monitoring, optional human monitoring, customer response procedures, and third-party central-station services are distinct capabilities. Availability depends on configuration and agreement.

Cell tower security FAQs

Planning questions, answered.

Answers to common questions about surveillance, power, connectivity, positioning, monitoring, and acquiring a SentryPODS system.

What security risks are common at cell tower sites?

Common physical-security concerns include copper, battery, generator, and fuel theft; unauthorized entry; fence cutting; vandalism; sabotage; suspicious vehicles; and concealed approaches. Risk varies by site.

Do cell towers have security cameras?

Some cell tower compounds use cameras, but coverage and monitoring vary by site. A deployable system can add visibility around approaches, gates, fence lines, shelters, batteries, generators, fuel, grounding, and cabling without waiting for a permanent surveillance buildout.

Can cell tower security cameras work without permanent power?

Yes. Spartan and Chariot are solar-powered platforms intended for sites where dependable permanent power is limited or unavailable. Final sizing and configuration depend on the site.

Do communication-tower cameras need wired internet?

No. Cellular and Starlink configurations are available on supported systems. Wi-Fi and Ethernet are available on specified AC-powered models. Connectivity should be validated for the location.

Can multiple remote tower sites be managed through one dashboard?

Where configured, Fortress can provide a fleet view with live video, recorded events, alerts, unit locations, and supported system-health information across multiple units and sites.

Where should security cameras be positioned at a cell tower?

Placement should follow an assessment of approaches, gates, fence lines, terrain, structures, priority equipment, camera elevation, field of view, and the response plan. The goal is useful, layered coverage—not simply the highest camera position.

How quickly can a SentryPODS unit be deployed?

The SentryPODS rapid-install backplate system allows supported units to be physically mounted in approximately three to five minutes once the installation point is prepared. Site planning, connectivity, power, commissioning, and training are separate parts of the deployment.

Does SentryPODS provide deployment planning and training?

Yes. The objective is to ensure the customer understands why each unit is positioned where it is, what it is intended to observe, how the units work together, and how the deployment supports the facility’s overall security posture.

Can cell tower security systems be leased?

Selected systems—including Spartan, Chariot, Hunter, Recon, Phoenix, Eagle, and MINI—are offered for purchase or lease. Viper and Black Ops are purchase only. Echo uses custom configuration. Availability and terms are confirmed in the final proposal.
